Owner/Founder In 1997, Kreipke founded Desert Viking after a construction and renovation career that began in Tucson, AZ.  Upon returning to the Valley Kreipke focused his business on full-time property development, design-build management projects, as well as rehabilitation projects, including historic properties, shopping centers and freestanding commercial buildings.  Kreipke currently oversees the acquisition, development, construction and management of real estate properties in the Greater Phoenix Metro area with special emphasis and passion in the restoration of historic properties.   Over the past sixteen years, Kreipke has acquired and/or rehabilitated over 20 National Register Historic properties in the Valley. In addition to adaptive reuse projects that have a long lasting positive impact on the neighboring communities, Kreipke has overseen the development of both ground-up commercial and residential sites. These projects have ranged from small commercial additions and new builds, to the construction of single-family homes and small subdivisions.   Recently Desert Viking completed an urban infill 79-unit townhome development in downtown Chandler known as San Marcos Commons, as well as the redevelopment of an 18,000 sf commercial property known as The Crown, located on 7th Street in Phoenix.  The company is currently focused on a mixed use infill project located in Roosevelt Row Historic District called The Blocks of Roosevelt Row, as well as several other signature projects.  Kreipke is also a partner in Venture REI, which is a full-service real estate brokerage firm with over 45 active agents.  Kreipke has also served as Chairman of Chandler’s Architectural Review committee, been President of the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership, and is a board member of the Arizona Preservation Foundation.  He holds a commercial and general contractor license and resides with his family in Gilbert, AZ.

Project Development Manager Kaitlyn began her real estate development career back in 2010 working for DPR Construction - a national general contractor and construction management firm located in Phoenix, AZ, that specializes in highly technical projects within the technology, corporate office, healthcare, higher education and life sciences industries.  During her six-year tenure she held several progressive positions including Project Engineer, Design Manager and most recently Estimator. Her responsibilities included managing preconstruction efforts for Phoenix-based projects ranging from $900,000-$42,000,000, providing target value design analysis, cost control measures, cost estimating, constructability reviews and subcontractor procurement, as well as negotiating contract terms for subcontractor agreements. In 2016, Kaitlyn joined Desert Viking Companies as Project Development Manager.  Working directly with Partners, Niels Kreipke and Dan Noma, she is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations as required for the successful implementation of real estate projects from cradle to grave -- including acquisition, development of financial and feasibility assessments, supervision of design and construction and property management assistance following project delivery. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management, Kaitlyn also earned her Masters in Real Estate Development from Arizona State in 2016.  When she's not overseeing large historical renovation projects throughout the Valley, you can find her remodeling her home in South Scottsdale and working as a local volunteer Team Leader with Habitat for Humanity.
